Thank you for your participation in the
11th International Congress on Biocatalysis
Mark your calendar for the biocat2026 from 23 - 27 August 2026
At the biocat2024, we have experienced groundbreaking research and innovative discussions, and established new cooperations that will shape the landscape of biocatalysis. A huge thanks to all the 365 participants from 40 nations with 40% from industry, 59 speakers, 60 lightning talk speakers, 220 poster presenters, and sponsors.
Together we address the sustainable development goals that the Technische Universität Hamburg as home of #biocat2024 stands for as United Nations University Hub.
As we wrap up this 11th edition, let’s continue to drive innovation in biocatalysis forward and make this world a better place!
We are looking forward to welcoming you again in 2026 at biocat2026!
At the International Congress on Biocatalysis held at the Technische Universität Hamburg, outstanding individuals are given the biocat award in the categories “Academic Research”, “Industrial Research” and “Lifetime Achievement” to acknowledge their accomplishment in the field of biocatalysis.
The awards given out at this year’s 11th International Congress on Biocatalysis are:
Prof. Dr. Rebecca Buller-Blomberg (Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland) for Academic Research
Prof. Dr. Carlos Martínez (Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, USA) for Industrial Research
Prof. Dr. Roland Wohlgemuth (Lodz University of Technology, Poland) for Lifetime Achievement.
Congratulations!
The biocat congress is part of a biennial conference series established in 2002. It provides an overview of the latest advances in biocatalysis and biotransformations by integrating the know-how of experts and early-career researchers from academia and industry.
